We are so excited to announce that we have been selected as one of the Co-op’s Local Causes until November 2026. The Local Community Fund by the Co-op support projects in communities that provide access to opportunities and resources for people to thrive. The best bit is that the Co-op members can choose the local cause they want to support through their membership!

Yesterday, the Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre was filled with music throughout the afternoon as we joined forces with the Manchester Camerata. As part of their Here We Are project, small ensembles from the orchestra have been travelling to all 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester, to bring music to weird and wonderful places such as skate parks, libraries, and train stations!

From 1st to the 5th October, ensembles from Manchester Camerata will be performing for free across all the county of Greater Manchester. From skate parks to shopping malls, libraries and more, the goal is to take music into unexpected places - and we’re so excited to announce we’ll be collaborating with them in Rochdale’s Exchange Shopping Centre!

We’re so excited to announce that we’re establishing another group very soon! We’ve been planning this one for a little while behind the scenes but it’s finally time to let our community know and start bringing our new big band to life.

On Sunday 20th July, a mixture of players from our A, B & C Bands performed at Rochdale’s Classic Car Show in Falinge Park. Sadly, the weather wasn’t kind and it rained for the majority of the day, but that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits! We performed two sets around lunchtime and had a great time entertaining all the visitors and car enthusiasts.

This summer, the team at Bloom are so excited to be launching The Bloom Lottery! Fundraising is such a big part of our organisation and the lottery is a great opportunity for us to raise funds whilst also offering some amazing monthly cash prizes to our members and supporters!

On Friday 13th June, members from our A, B & C Bands joined 109 other bands in Saddleworth to compete in the Whit Friday Band Contest. The event is a real highlight of our year, and our members were super excited to take to the road for the first time as Bloom Music Community!

At the start of January 2025, we embarked on finding a new rehearsal space for our brass bands. After weeks of searching, we finally find our new home - The Flying Horse in Rochdale!

After months of hard work establishing and setting up Bloom Music Community CIC, we are so excited to finally launch our new website! The team and I are so thrilled to have you here and to show you everything that we’ve been up to over the past six months.
