Our A Band is the most advanced brass group in Bloom Music Community. The majority of our members have been playing for many years and the standard of the band is around 3rd/4th section level. The band is conducted by Founder & Director of Bloom, Laura Whittaker who has years of experience of working with a wide range of ages and abilities. Her passion is in seeing people develop and become the best version of themselves, by sharing her love of music. The A Band is an unregistered band but we enjoy competing at contests that welcome bands like ours. We are currently looking for a bass trombone and bass players to complete our team, but would be happy to welcome any instruments - that’s one of the best thing about being unregistered!

This video is from our sold out Bloom At The Movies concert in February 2025. We absolutely love putting on these unique concerts, and so does our audience! Both our brass bands perform an exciting programme of movie music, set to the visuals of your favourite films in our very own make-shift cinema.
