Member Spotlight: Becky

It’s time for another member spotlight, and today we’re introducing you to Becky! Becky sings in our Littleborough Choir but recently joined our Beginner Brass group. After playing at high school, she’d always wanted to get back into banding and has already progressed into our C Band! Q. What position do you play and which band(s) do you play in?
3rd cornet in C Band.

Q. How long have you played for?
4 months since starting again!

Q. What made you start playing a brass instrument?
Always wanted to re-join after enjoying it at high school.

Q. What's your favourite thing about playing in the band?
The camaraderie between members and the feeling of all of us getting it right.

Q. What's your favourite piece (to play or listen to) and why?
So far, The Chieftain - it has a good variety of rhythms and dynamics.

Q. What advice would you give to someone who's thinking of joining one of the bands?
Don’t wait, you never look back. It’s a great hobby that can take up as much of your life as you’d like.

Q. What do you do outside of band?
Cook in a nursery.

Q. Any other hidden talents or hobbies?
Painting, baking (was professional, now just a hobby), and singing in the Bloom choir!
