At the start of 2025, Bloom Music Community CIC took over with The Milnrow Cricket Club Choir. The choir was initially set up in 2018 and over the years has established a core group of members who love to come together to sing every week!

Singing releases endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine – the ‘happy’ chemicals that boost your mood and your mental health, plus being part of a musical community like ours creates new friendships and opens lots of new opportunities. No experience is necessary to join the choir, there are no auditions and you don’t need to be able to read music as everything is done by ear. Our sessions are led by Carla Jane; an award-winning vocalist and choir leader, who works in numerous schools across the north and directs choirs all over Europe. Her sessions are relaxed, fun and engaging – we guarantee you’ll be smiling and laughing throughout your Tuesday evening! Lights, Camera, Action!

This video is from our sold out Bloom At The Movies concert in February 2025. We absolutely love putting on these unique concerts, and so does our audience! Both our brass bands perform an exciting programme of movie music, set to the visuals of all your favourite films in our very own cinema at Littleborough Coach House. Here’s one of our favourite pieces from the night; ___!

A Band has a really friendly, relaxed and supportive vibe. The variety of ages who play reflect the music we perform, from traditional brass pieces to modern pop music. It can be challenging learning to play new music, and trying to improve every week, but I love it!
